Dear Dr. Shatz, You recently completed my second cataract surgery and I wish to thank you for the care and consideration you and your staff provided. As mentioned during our initial meeting, I have had so many surgeries that I was fearful of another, especially an eye surgery. However, your skill and the ease of the surgery helped me through this stressful time. The second surgery was "a breeze." Dr. Shatz, you have given me something that I have not had in many, many years - my sight. After wearing eyeglasses and contact lenses since the 3rd or 4rth grade - more than 45 years - the ability to see without help is unbelievable. As I was preparing for bed, I gathered my contact material (i.e. contact case, saline solution, etc.) and started taking my "contacts" out of my eyes! Thankfully, I realized my error before touching my eye.
